Woman arrested for trying to have hot oil thrown on man
New Delhi: The natural law of karma was on full display in Ghaziabad, after Delhi Police arrested a woman who tried to have hot cooking oil thrown on a person, but ended up getting injured by the scalding liquid.
Police claimed that the accused Noorjahan, a resident of Indirapuram, had told her son to throw cooking oil on a man. However, the man managed to escaped and oil fell on Noorjahan, who was standing nearby.
Cops said that after the incident the woman was sent to a hospital, but she subsequently did not approach the cops. Later, in the course of the investigation, she was nabbed from Ghaziabad area and booked under sections 324, 323 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Investigators claimed that Noorjahan's husband had a food cart near Anand Vihar Railway station, and in March, an argument broke out between her son and a man identified as Rakesh to placing their carts at the same spot.
"The complainant claimed that the woman's son started throwing fried fishes from his cart on the road. After this, an argument took place between them and Noorjahan told her son Chand to throw hot oil on Rakesh. While Rakesh escaped with minor injuries, as he managed to duck, Noorjahan – who was standing behind him – received injuries in her face and hand," said a police officer.
Noorjahan was rushed to a hospital by a PCR van, after which she returned to her home. "We questioned several persons including the vendors near railway stations and finally she was arrested," said the police officer. Apart from Noorjahan his husband and son was also named as accused.
