Woman alleges harassment by cab driver in social media post

A Delhi woman who had booked an Uber cab on Wednesday wrote about her ordeal on Facebook about the alleged misconduct by the Uber driver.

The woman, on her Facebook page, wrote: "This is my last experience with Uber. Today morning (Wednesday) I booked a cab for my residence at Mehrauli to my office at Gurgaon, Udyog Vihar Phase I. Immediately, after the driver picked me up, he started giving undue attention and asked me if I am going to my office and where do I work. I got suspicious at the moment and in order to avoid his questions, I started talking over the phone."

The woman alleged that the driver disturbed her throughout the journey and kept asking her personal questions.

Moreover, the driver started driving rash to disturb her.Following this, the driver asked her to get down from the car in the middle of the road.

Once she got down, he started following her in the car, the woman alleged.

After this, she walked till Sultanpur Metro station to book another cab.

Later, the woman complained to Uber and expressed her concerns over the safety of the women travelling with the company's cab.

The police said they did not receive any formal complaint from the woman.

Millennium Post tried to contact the Uber driver, but he could not be reached on phone.
