We have booked them according to their involvement, say police

New Delhi: The Delhi Police took six months to prepare the over 1,000-page chargesheet for which they questioned more than 35 persons.

Police claimed that every minute detail was investigated during the preparation of the document. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Harendra Singh claimed that they found that the attack on Delhi CS Anshu Prakash was preplanned.

Delhi Police pressed more than 10 Sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the 13 persons including the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.

"We have booked them according to their involvement," said Singh. When asked the reason behind the name of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the chargesheet, the police officer claimed that they were part of the conspiracy.

The Additional DCP further claimed that in the preparation of the chargesheet, more than six policemen were involved with different roles. "We have filed the chargesheet and now the matter is in the court," said Additional DCP.

In May, police questioned Chief Minister and Deputy CM in this regard. When asked about the role of VK Jain, former advisor to CM, the senior officer stated that he was the eyewitness of the incident.

On February 23, a police team had examined the CCTV system installed at the chief minister's residence in the Civil Lines area and seized the hard disk. It was later found that the time displayed on the CCTV cameras on the night of the alleged attack on CS Prakash was nearly 40 minutes behind the actual time.
