Wanted criminal nabbed after shootout in Gr Noida

Greater Noida: Following a gunfight with criminals, Gautam Buddh Nagar police, on Sunday afternoon nabbed a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head from Kasna area of Greater Noida.
Police said the arrested accused has been identified as Robin, a native of Meerut, who was earlier imprisoned for kidnapping a Greater Noida-based businessman for a ransom of Rs 3 crore and was wanted in various criminal cases registered in police stations across the district.
The accused and a police constable sustained bullet injuries in the gun battle, and have been admitted to hospital for treatment.
"We received a tip-off that two persons were coming here to commit a robbery. Police teams were deployed in the area and, during checking under Chuhadpur underpass, two suspects tried to flee when they were signaled to stop. When police chased them, they opened fire and, in return, police had to fire too, in which one of the criminal got bullet injury while the other somehow managed to flee," said Brijesh Kumar Verma, SHO, Kasna police station.
Cops seized a Honda Twister motor cycle and a .315mm country-made pistol and four live cartridges from Robin's possession.
On Saturday, cops arrested four criminals near Chery county police outpost in Noida Extension after a shootout.
