Wanted criminal arrested

New Delhi: A 29-year-old gangster who was a parole jumper and wanted in several criminal cases including a recent sensational shootout case of Shikohabad UP was arrested by the crime branch of Delhi Police.
According to police, the accused was identified as Avdesh Yadav alias Gabbar, a resident of Uttam Nagar. He was arrested on a basis of an information that he would come to Nala Road, between Najafgarh-Kakrola to meet his associate. The arrest was made by the team which was made under the close supervision of ACP Aditya Gautam.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Bhisam Singh stated that accused Yadav in 2008, came in contact with Shiva Suri, a dreaded gangster of the area and joined his gang in a bid to earn quick and easy money. Shiva Suri gang is active in West, South-West and Dwarka Districts in Delhi and is indulged in extortion from businessmen and trades.
