Viral clip shows couple being thrashed in Nizamuddin

NEW DELHI: A group of miscreants brutally assaulted a couple in south east Delhi's Nizamuddin area on Monday, as Delhi Police launched an investigation into the incident after a video of the incident went on social media.

The video shows three men, including a heavily built one, thrashing a burqa-clad woman and her husband mercilessly in the market.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Chinmoy Biswal said that both the parties allegedly have a previous enmity, and both have levelled allegations against each other.
