Vigilance team to stop illegal sale of fire crackers

New Delhi: There will be vigilance teams in districts to take strict action against persons who will be found selling the illegal firecrackers in the city, Police sources told Millennium Post.

The Delhi Police Commissioner on Tuesday held a meeting with the districts Deputy Commissioners after the Supreme Court decision on firecrackers.

"Police Commissioner has asked to form Vigilance teams which will be headed by Additional DCP and will make sure that there is no illegal selling of firecracker," said the

police source.

The sources further claimed that the firecrackers must be approved from Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation. The top cop also stated that strict action will be taken on police personnel including SHO if sale of any illegal firecrackers is found in their area.
