Video showing flooding of Hindon elevated road fake: GDA

Ghaziabad: Refuting claims of flooding of the Hindon Elevated Road in Ghaziabad after it rained heavily on Thursday, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) on Friday said that videos that were going viral showing flooding on Elevated Road in Ghaziabad were fake and water never accumulates on an elevated part of road.

According to a senior GDA official, the elevated road featured in a news clip that went viral on social media earlier this week is not Hindon.

"Upon examination, it was seen in the video clip that the crash barriers at the elevated road were painted black and white, whereas the crash barriers of the Hindon elevated road are painted yellow and black. So the road shown in the video clip is not Hindon elevated road," said V N Singh, chief engineer, GDA.

On Thursday, a video of an elevated road being flooded went viral on social media.
