Using shared van, 3 youngsters looted advocate & policeman
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has arrested three youngsters in the age group of 18 to 20 who formed a gang of robbers and targeted people during the night. They used to ply in Dhaula Kuan, Chanakya Puri, in an Eco van in search of their targets and pretend themselves to be passengers. After getting the victim in their van they used to forcefully beat and rob them at gunpoint/knife. After robbing the passenger, the accused threw the victim at a lonely place and move away from the spot. The arrested accused have been identified as Aniket, Rajkumar and Dalip Kumar, all residents of Delhi.
On the intervening night of March 22 and 23, they targeted one advocate near 11 Murti and robbed his mobile phone, wrist watch and a wallet containing cash, I card issued from Bar Council of India and other documents in Chanakyapuri area. "They further disclosed that after robbing the advocate and the policeman, now they started to keep the Identity Card of Bar Council of India to mislead if there is any checking. Even one of them used to sit in the uniform of Delhi Police in the van to gain confidence of their target," said Anto Alphonse, DCP Dwarka.
