Unhappy with marriage, youth shoots dead brother-in-law

New Delhi: A class-XII student who was unhappy with his sister's marriage hatched a plan to kill his brother-in-law and on March 8 he successfully committed the crime inside an educational institue in North East Delhi. He fled from the spot after committing the crime. His run finally ended when he was arrested from Loni in Ghaziabad. The accused was identified as Akram who lived in Loni, Ghaziabad. An incident of gunfire took place on March 8 at about 2 pm inside BK Educational Institute situated in Meet Nagar. Brother-in-law of deceased Atif fired at him in his head. The victim was shifted to GTB hospital where he died during treatment. "The accused was nabbed near Dabur Talab near Loni Tiraha in Lonialong with the weapon of offence used for the commission of crime," said RP Meena, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East).
RP Meena further claimed that the accused person was interrogated at length. He disclosed that his younger sister married Atif (deceased) against the will of his family. After the marriage, tension remained in his family due to the said marriage. "He was planning to take revenge with the husband of his sister Atif. He along with his father Rahisuddin made a plan to eliminate the husband of his sister," said Meena. In this process, he reached at the coaching centre with loaded desi katta and invited the sister along with her husband Atif to settle the issue.
The police claimed that both reached at the said coaching centre where Akram was already present. After a brief talk, the accused Akram fired at Atif and fled away from the spot with the firearm.
