Under-trial flees from police custody

New Delhi: An under-trial prisoner involved in more than nine criminal cases escaped from police custody from Tis Hazari court. The accused identified as Babu Khan, a resident of Madhubani, Bihar, was produced in the court for the hearing. He escaped from the courtroom and from the custody of Constable Surender Singh of the third battalion. He is involved in nine cases. In this case, he has been declared a proclaimed offender and recently arrested.

In February, a 40-year-old under trial prisoner (UTP) escaped from the police custody with help of his associates in Central Delhi area after they threw chilli powder on escorting policemen.
