Two-year-old dies after falling into bucket

New Delhi: A two-year-old child died after he fell inside the bucket in North West Delhi's Wazirpur Village. Police claimed that at the time of incident, his mother was in neighborhood and father was sleeping in the house.

The deceased was identified as Aditya who lived with his family in Wazirpur Village in Ashok Vihar area. He was the native of Uttar Pradesh. Deputy Commissioner of Police (north-west) Aslam Khan stated that the child died by drowning in a bucket full of water at 5 PM. At the time of the incident, his Mother was in neighborhood and Father was sleeping in the house.

The victim was playing in the house and somehow he fell on the bucket. One of the family members came inside the house for some work and found the child drowning. Hearing the mother's cries, neighbors reached the house and rushed the boy to a nearby private hospital, but he could not be revived.Police claimed that they are investigating the case from all angles.

In February 2017, Two young twins fell inside a washing machine and died, while their mother was out to buy detergent, in Rohini's Avantika Apartments. Using the pile of clothes that their mother had left behind, one of the twins climbed to the top of the machine and peeped inside and fell into the machine, his brother followed him to his watery grave. As they both fell head first, they got trapped. Another incident was reported from Loni in which a one-year-old toddler accidentally fell into a bucket of water and drowned. The deceased mother was busy with household chores and noticed the boy's upended body in the bucket 15 minutes later.
