Two Sonu Daryapur gang members held in Rohini
NEW DELHI: Two criminals of Sonu Dariyapur gang have been arrested by Delhi police and .32 bore pistol, five live cartridges, one-button knife, motorcycle seized from their possession.
According to police, Gang Members have previous criminal history and involvements in many heinous cases in Delhi and surrounded
areas.
They have been identified as Sandeep and Sunny and have been nabbed from Begampur in Rohini
district.
During interrogation, they revealed that they were carrying out the criminal activities at the behest of their Gang Leader Sonu Dariyapur, who operates and monitor their criminal activities from prison.
"It was also revealed that the resource-starved gang aimed at carrying out certain spontaneous criminal activities like car-jacking, kidnapping for ransom, dacoity, robbery, contract killings etc so as to obtain finances. Facing the risk of being marginalized, the gang required money urgently to buildup stockpiles of arms and ammunition and other wherewithal, consolidate its strength and resources and commit crime and other unlawful activities so as to create an environment of terror and established their hegemony again in the criminal world," said DCP Rohini SD Misra.
They further disclosed that intended to proceed to Dariyapur to shoot one Hazari, a Bad Character and the Toll Tax contractor as he refused to pay them protection
money.
