Two shot dead in Ghaziabad after argument with friends turns fatal
Ghaziabad: Two cousin brothers were allegedly shot dead by three of their friends after a heated argument broke out between them in Vaishali sector-3 area of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad on late Saturday night.
The deceased have been identified as Vikram Mavi (34), a resident of Greater Noida and Anand Dedha (32), a resident of Mayur Vihar Phase-3 in Delhi.
According to police, the incident took place around 12 am outside Ambrosia banquet hall in Indirapuram area where the five persons have come to attend a function.
Deceased Vikram Mavi's father Chattar Singh, said that Vikram and his cousin brother Anand had gone to attend mehandi function of one of their friend in Ambrosia palace along with three of their other friends. "All the five persons have gone to attend a Mehandi function in a Innova car. When Anand didn't return home till late night, his elder brother Pradeep had gone to see him when he saw him indulging into an argument with three of his friends and the trio had opened fire on Anand and Vikram. When Pradeep tried to stop them, the accused fled away from the spot brandishing guns," said Singh.
Meanwhile, police have registered an FIR under IPC section 302 (punishment for murder) against three persons Sunil Yadav, Dheeraj Mishra and Sunil Yadav.
Dr. Manish Kumar Mishra, Superintendent of police (city) said that all the five persons can be clearly seen sitting together at a table in the function. "Based on the CCTV footage of the banquet hall, all of them were seen entering the function together and they had food together. Later they can also be seen coming outside together. As of now we cannot ascertain the reason behind the murder but the bodies of both the deceased have been sent for post mortem and reports are awaited" said Mishra.
The officer further said that around 15 bullets were shot on the victims and Vikram had received 4 bullet injuries while Anand was shot around 10 bullets.
Vikram is survived by his wife and two children while Anand is also survived with his wife and two children. Police have recovered a licensed pistol from Vikram's pocket and his Innova car from the spot. A few liquor bottles have also been recovered by police.
