Two policemen transferred for misbehaviour

New Delhi: Delhi Police has sent two policemen to district lines after they misbehaved with a group of five persons, including two women, at Vasant Square Mall in Vasant Kunj on Thursday evening.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere said the action was taken on Friday after a preliminary inquiry. "In the inquiry, it was found that the conduct of Assistant Sub Inspector Bijender Kumar and Head Constable Manvir Kumar was found inappropriate and both of them were sent to district lines," said Dumbere.
Police sources claimed that when the police personnel reached the spot they asked the group why they were sitting there; they told the policemen that they were having the meeting regarding work. The victims had alleged that policemen had misbehaved with them and questioned them without any proper warrant and assaulted them when they asked the policemen questions regarding the same. The incident took place when the group was sitting on the lower ground floor of the mall around 7-30 pm. They further alleged that the policemen were drunk.
