Two more youth gunned down in north east Delhi

NEW DELHI: North east Delhi witnessed twin murders once again, after a 23-year-old was shot dead in Usmanpur area on Tuesday morning and another youth was shot dead in Old Seelampur.
Police have identified the prime accused in the Usman pur murder and suspect that victim Rohit Pal was murdered due to personal enmity. Police sources said that they received a PCR call about a young man lying in a pool of blood near his motorcycle, after armed assailants pumped bullets into him.
"The deceased was involved in two criminal cases," said DCP (North East) Ajit Kumar Singla, while asserting that it was not a case of gang war.
Police are now scanning the victim's phone records.
In Old Seelampur, on Tuesday afternoon, bike-borne assailants pumped around seven-eight rounds of bullets into Zafar Qureshi, who died on the spot. No suspects have been identified yet.
Meanwhile, North East District Police have formed several teams to conduct raids western Uttar Pradesh in search of the accused involved in two different murders which took place back to back late on Sunday.
Police sources claimed that they have zeroed down a few persons suspected to be involved in the crime.
They also suspect that Wajid, the deceased in the murder in Bhajanpur, was killed due to shady financial dealings. Cops have also gone through criminal dossier to identify the culprits.
DCP Singla said that in addition to the raids, cops have questioned several persons in this regard. Sources claimed that police are also scanning Wajid's recent activities, to find whether he had any altercations.
