Two members of Advani gang arrested for ATM theft

Gurugram: The Gurugram police achieved a major breakthrough after it arrested two members of Advani gang. The significance of these arrests can be understood from the fact that not only did the criminals had a prize money of Rs 50,000 over them but they were allegedly involved in the ATM thefts.

The two have been identified as Sajid and Sandeep both of whom are 27 years of age. The law enforcement officials were able to recover the country made pistol and certain cash from the arrested duo. They were arrested from Manesar area.

The law enforcement officials now hope that the arrest of these members will provide them with the lead to more people in the gang that are involved in over 22 ATM thefts in the city. Earlier in May, the police were able to arrest one member named Shahid, however, he was able to escape from the custody of the police.

Sources in the police claim that the Advani gang hires most of its members from Mewat. Earlier the gang used to be involved in automobile thefts but of late their members have become active in large ATM thefts in and around Gurugram. After committing the thefts, these people run to Mewat which makes their arrest difficult
