Two held for luring bizman to Mewat to kidnap, rob him

NEW DELHI: A team of Crime Branch has arrested two criminals Wazid (22) and Nadeem (22), both from Palwal in Haryana after a shootout near Budha Jayanti Park.

Both the accused belong to Tohid Gang of Mewat and are involved in many cases of kidnapping and extortion in Delhi/NCR area. They were previously involved in more than 10 criminal cases of kidnapping and extortion. Two country made pistols along with four live cartridges and two fired cartridges have been recovered from their possession. A Maruti Swift car stolen from Timarpur has also been recovered from their possession.

The matter of kidnapping-cum-extortion came to light when a businessman from Indore, Madhya Pradesh came to Delhi police and alleged that he was contacted on an App by alleged persons for sale of scrap at cheap rate. When he reached Delhi airport, these persons took him to village Gohana, Mewat, on the pretext of showing the scrap drums. After reaching Gohana, they confined him in a room, robbed his mobile phone, cash and other belongings.
