Two Delhi govt schools get new swimming pools

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated two swimming pools in as many government schools in Trans-Yamuna area here on Saturday.
Addressing students and parents at a programme, Kejriwal talked about various welfare schemes undertaken by the Delhi government for students.
He emphasised on the student loan guarantee scheme and talked about the Class Skill Centre at Vivek Vihar.
On the occasion, Deputy Director of Education (Sports) Asha Aggarwal thanked the dignitaries present at the event, as well as the agencies, including PWD, Delhi Police and Health Department, for making the inauguration successful.
Both the swimming pools have been constructed by the Public Works Department (PWD) at a cost of Rs. 2.28 crores each and were constructed in nine months.
These pools will cater to the needs of the 5,000 students of both the schools.
