Two ASIs found dead in separate incidents

New Delhi: Two Delhi Police assistant sub-inspectors were reported dead on Friday, with the body of one of them found behind the security lines of Vinay Marg and another shooting himself dead inside a van in north Delhi's Civil Lines.
The deceased in the Vinay Marg incident was identified as TP Anirudhan, who was posted at the 3rd battalion of Delhi Police and lived with his family in Mehram Nagar.
Anirudhan had joined Delhi Police in 1986. According to police, the incident took place at 8 am when Anirudhan was found lying in a pool of blood, with his helmet and service revolver lying beside him.
He was rushed to a hospital, but declared brought dead.
In the second incident, 54-year-old Hanuman Sahay, posted in a PCR unit, fatally shot himself in the head inside a van in Civil Lines, police said.
The PCR van, with which he was attached, was out of order and was being taken to Old Police Lines for repair work, sources added.
It was there that Sahay shot himself in the head and immediately died. Sources said he was under depression and that further investigation was underway.
