Two arrested with drugs worth Rs 32 cr
New Delhi: Special Cell has busted an International drug cartel. Two key members of cartel Oscar, a Nigerian national, presently residing at Burari and Surjeet Singh a resident of Patiala, were arrested from Bus Stop, Saidulajab, Near Metro Station Saket, MB Road New Delhi on October 23. Eight kilograms of good quality heroin worth Rs 32 crore in the international market has been recovered from duo. Apart from Indians, persons of Afghanistan and African origin are also part of the said drug cartel.
On October 23, specific information was received in Special Cell that one person Surjeet Singh of Punjab who was involved in supplying of drugs would come at bus stop Saidulajab, near Saket metro station at around 10 pm to receive a consignment of heroin from Oscar.
"After some time one person of African origin also came at the bus stop and handed over one bag to the person already waiting there. Both were apprehended with the help of the members of the raiding party. Their search was taken which resulted in recovery of eight kilograms of high grade heroin from their shoulder bags," DCP Special cell PS Kushwah said.
