Tutor beaten to death over suspected affair

NEW DELHI: A 33-year-old man was beaten to death in east Delhi's Ghazipur on Monday by a man and his friend after one of them suspected the victim, a private tutor, of blackmailing his wife.

The two men used a cooking gas pipe to beat the tutor, Raj Kumar, before leaving him to die on the street.

The two men, Sachin and Vijay, were arrested for the murder while the woman was arrested for conspiracy.

According to police, about two years ago, Sachin's wife had taken private tuitions from Kumar while preparing for competitive exams in Vinod Nagar. During the time, Kumar and the woman had an affair. But when the woman wanted to call off the relationship, he began blackmailing her using her intimate videos and conversations.
