Truck owner, driver hatched plan to loot goods

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police crime branch has busted a gang of Zahar Khurani who used to drug drivers and conductors of heavy vehicles to loot the truck with goods. Kasim Khan and Madan Pal have been nabbed by Crime Branch. On May 29, specific information was received at Crime Branch office that one gang leader of Zehar Khurani gang Kasim, who had robbed two trucks loaded with goods, after drugging five drivers and conductors in Shastri Park, E Block, Delhi would come there to shift a truck to safe godown for disposal. On this information, a team of police laid a trap near the place of information.
The accused Kasim Khan was apprehended at the instance of the informer. One truck loaded with goods items was recovered. Later, another main accused Madan Pal who was the actual owner of both trucks was apprehended. Both Madan Pal and Kasim Khan with their associates hatched a conspiracy of loot/theft of two trucks loaded with goods items worth Rs 1.5 crore.
"Kasim Khan disclosed that he and his known Anand met Madan Pal (owner of trucks) about 10 to 15 days back in connection with scrap dealing. To earn easy money they hatched a conspiracy that after loading truck from the transporter, they will drug the driver and conductor and loot the trucks full of goods. They acted as per their plan and when transporter loaded the two trucks, Kasim, Anand, Khusnoor, and two other associates of Khusnoor went to Madan Pal and Khusnoor drugged them," said Bhishm Singh, DCP Crime.
Madan Pal started mechanic work and owns five trucks on loan. He also took money from market on huge interest. To fulfill his need of money, he made plan with scrap dealer Kasim Khan and his other associates to steal his truck full of goods.
