Trio held for forging property documents
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has arrested three individuals for creating fake property documents to avail bank loan of Rs 75 lakh. The police were informed about the incident through a complaint registered at the Bharat Nagar PS.
The accused has been identified as Pankaj Sachdeva alias Roshan (61), Suhail Chauhan (44) and Nitin Verma (41).
According to the police reports, the fraud was first reported by Harminder Kaur Anand in 2019. Anand alleged that her property in Rana Pratap Bagh, Delhi, purchased in 2011, had been fraudulently mortgaged to secure a loan.
The accused forged property documents, PAN, and voter IDs to create a fake identity, securing a Rs 75 lakh loan from AU Housing
Finance Limited.
Using FRS technology, police identified Pankaj Sachdeva, who had been involved in similar crimes.
Two accomplices, Suhail Chauhan and Nitin Verma, were arrested for facilitating the scam and profiting Rs 18.4 lakh. The group targeted vacant properties, forged documents, and dispersed loan funds to multiple accounts.
Further investigations into their financial transactions are ongoing.
