To integrate traffic systems, Ggn DCP gets addl charge

Gurugram: In a major reshuffle by the Haryana government, DCP (traffic) Himanshu Garg has been given the additional charge of the additional CEO (mobility) of GMDA, a move that is expected to help in the convergence of planning and implementation of traffic management in the city.

While the Gurugram police are responsible for traffic management on the ground, the roads and other infrastructure like streetlights come under the jurisdiction of GMDA.

So with the same officer holding the charge of traffic and mobility at police and GMDA, respectively, it is expected to increase coordination between these two departments.
