Three youth held for killing man who stopped them from robbing car stereo

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have solved a sensational murder case during a robbery attempt gone awry reported from Jaitpur and arrested three men in this regard.
Police on Saturday said that the accused were identified as 21-year-old Shehnawaz, a resident of Jaitpur, 22-year-old Ankur Dubey, a resident of Karawal Nagar and 19-year-old Mohammad Yasir, a resident of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
On February 24, the trio had tried to steal the stereo from the victim's car parked near outside house in Jaitpur.
However, Madan Mohan and his son Vishal were alerted and tried to nab the trio.
Seeing the father and son approaching them, the accused tried to flee from spot inside a Wagon R car that they had come in.
Madan Mohan and Vishal tried to stop them from fleeing, even trying to pull out the keys from the Wagon R.
In a haste, the accused drove the car in a haphazard way, seriously injuring the father-son duo, while the accused managed to flee.
Vishal succumbed to his injuries during the struggle and, during post-mortem, a bullet was found inside his body, revealing that the accused had shot him during the commotion.
Police said the pistol used for shooting Vishal and the car used by the accused to flee have been seized. The accused used to steal car stereos and truck batteries and subsequently sell them to junk and scrap dealers to earn a quick buck.
