Three separate fires in Capital, no casualties

Three separate fire incidents were reported in the Capital, in which in the areas of Shahdbad Dairy and Gandhi Nagar, two shops were gutted. In the third incident, a fire broke out in a slum cluster in Shakarpur, and twenty shanties were destroyed in the blaze.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) have confirmed that there was no loss of life however the shopkeepers have claimed that they have lost property worth lakhs in the fire.
The first incident was reported in the early morning hours of Thursday, when a fire broke out in a bag store. According to fire officials, the blaze fire out in the ground floor of the market and seven fire tenders were deputed to the spot.
The second incident was reported in Gandhi Nagar, where a jeans store was completely gutted in the fire.
"The incident was reported during lunch time. All the employees were evacuated in a short span of time and escaped unhurt. The fire was brought under control in half an hour and later doused in 45 minutes.
The third incident may not have cause loss of human lives but around 20 families were rendered homeless. The blaze broke out in a slum cluster in Shakarpur, inhabited by daily wage labourers.
Barring the twenty shanties, one motorcycle was also destroyed in the blaze.
