Three involved in Rs 65 lakh robbery held
Greater Noida: Three persons have been arrested by Gautam Buddh Nagar's Jarchha police as they were found to have been involved in Rs 65 lakhs cash robbery from cash agent of VRS foods (Paras dairy) in Jarchha area near NTPC in Greater Noida last week. Police have already arrested three persons earlier in connection with the incident while the car which was robbed by the criminals was also recovered by police.
According to police, those arrested were identified as Kuldeep, Naresh and Vishnu.
Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gautam Buddh Nagar said that accused Vishnu is the mastermind of the robbery incident and involved other people in the robbery.
"Vishnu shared the information to the other criminals and a group of ten armed men allegedly snatched Rs 65 lakh from three staff members of the company, at gunpoint in Jarchha area on May 27," said Krishna.
The officer further said that four persons are still absconding in the incident while three others were already arrested.
"On the day of incident, police team arrested two robbers when they were trying to flee in a car which they had snatched from a NTPC employee after committing the crime. Another accused was arrested after a gun fight by police a few days ago while three persons were arrested on Tuesday. We have formed teams to nab other gang members also who are absconding while a reward of Rs 25, 000 each on their head has been declared," added Krishna.
Meanwhile police have recovered Rs 4,10,000 cash from the possession of accused persons.
A senior police officer said that the gang had plotted the robbery to arrange money and secure a bail for their two other accomplices, Raees and Irfan, who were convicted last month in a murder case in Meerut.
