Three held for raping minor, sending clip to her mother

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three men for allegedly raping a 12-year old mentally challenged girl in Rohini district.

Cops also stated that while one of the accused men raped the girl, the other two accused filmed the whole incident on their phone – which took place a few months ago.

Subsequently, they accused sent the video of the entire incident on WhatsApp to the girl's family last Saturday.

Police said the main accused, identified as Bunty, was arrested on Monday night, along with his two friends, from Mangolpur Kalan area in suburban Delhi.

Bunty had reportedly lured the girl to a secluded spot and then raped her.

His two friends, who accompanied Bunty to the spot, recorded the video on their phone, as the accused continued with the shameful act, said the police.

The accused had threatened the girl not to disclosed about the incident. However, on Saturday evening, after the girl's mother received the video of the incident and ask her daughter, she came to know of the entire ordeal.

The main accused has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for rape, while his friends have been booked under the relevant sections of the IPC and the IT Act.
