Three criminals held in Noida

Noida: Three criminals have been arrested by Noida police following a gunfight in phase-II area on Thursday afternoon. Cops said that all the three accused have sustained bullet injuries during the gun battle and they were wanted in murder case in sector 88 area around a week ago.

According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Rohit (24), native of Mainpuri, Nandkishor and Makhan, both from Chhatrapur district in Madhya Pradesh. "Police had received a tip-off that the accused were arrested following a gunfight from Pushta in sector 88 around 2:20 pm on Thursday," said police.

Farmood Ali Pundeer, Station House Officer of Phase-II police station said that the accused persons had killed an auto driver by strangling him with a scarf and dumped the body at a park in sector 88 area of Noida on September 30.

Police have recovered the auto-rickshaw, two .315 bore illegal country made pistols and a few cases of live ammunition from the accused.
