Three arrested for theft of gold jewellery
New Delhi: The Delhi Police claimed that three persons in a case of criminal breach of trust in which complainant's employee misappropriated gold jewellery of 25.7 kilograms along with his accomplices.
Police identified the accused as Bharat Nathmal Soni (30), Sachin Shinde (39) and Shravan (39). Gold jewellery articles of approx 600 grams were recovered from them.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (central) Mandeep Singh Randhawa said that the complainant reported that one Bharat Nathmal Soni was working as in-charge of the head office of his company at New Rohtak Road in Karol Bagh flee with jewellery in the head office.
DCP Central added that the accused Soni was frequently changing his location all over India. Police team succeeded to arrest him from Rajasthan.
Further, at his instance, his two accomplices Sachin Shinde and Shravan were also arrested from Delhi and Rajasthan.
Soni disclosed he used to carry jewellery items from head office Karol Bagh to branch office Chandni Chowk and sell these jewellery articles to different jewellers. In return, he deposited the melted gold or cash to the head office at Karol Bagh. He also disclosed that he was fond of gambling during IPL Cricket matches in which he suffered huge losses and to recoup the losses the accused hatched plan.
