Thousands screened in hospitals, none show symptoms of COVID-19
NEW DELHI: SDMC on Wednesday said that almost 10,000 patients have been screened in their hospitals, dispensaries and none was suspected to have the symptoms and signs suggestive of Coronavirus infection.
According to SDMC these patients were examined by the highly trained medical officers and doctors. "Public Health Department has also deputed 8 teams of doctors and nurses at quarantine centers identified by the Delhi Government for performing round the clock duties," SDMC said in their press statement.
According to SDMC, public health department has also sensitized all its 134 units including all medical and paramedical staff regarding and made them aware about the coronavirus infections and measures to be taken. 1000 Nurses have been engaged for contact surveillance of coronavirus patients.
"Provision of special queues for fever and cold cough patients at OPD registrations and pharmacies has been already done. The department has conducted 2000 meetings with hotel staff, RWAs and market associations for creating mass awareness," SDMC official said.
