Thieves pose as job aspirants, arrested

NEW DELHI: In a unique case, the Delhi police has nabbed two burglars who pretended to be job aspirants in the day but turned out to be burglars in the night. Police said that the duo actually did recce on the pretext of job seeking.

The police team arrested Suraj(23), resident of Manav Kalyan Camp, Okhla Phase-2 and Mahesh Singh (23), a resident of Okhla Phase-2, and solved a case of office burglary. The stolen computer components have been recovered from accused.

During the investigation, CCTV footage of victim's office was analyzed and it was found on September 3 at 2:30 am, two persons in muffled face entered in the office from backside and stole the computer components kept in the office.

On September 10, suspect Suraj was apprehended from Okhla Phase II and was interrogated at length.

"In the daytime, accused persons used to recce the targeted companies on the pretext of employment in those companies. They used to review the security system of the factory and possible entry as well as exit points. During the late night hours, accused used to enter the factories from back lane and stole the articles," said DCP South East Chinmoy Biswal.
