Thieves attack PCR team with stones, nabbed
New Delhi: Even after being attacked with stones by thieves, the staff of a Delhi Police PCR unit on Sunday nabbed one of them from North Delhi's Burari area.
Police claimed that on the intervening night of 4-5 August, a PCR call was received at about 2.30 am that two boys are carrying a motorcycle under suspicious circumstances. Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) SD Mishra stated that a PCR team that was immediately rushed to the spot saw two boys carrying a motorcycle.
When the boys saw the police, they tried to flee but the PCR staff started chasing them. Head Constable Ishwar Daya managed to overpower one of the thieves. Finding his accomplice caught, the other thief started throwing stones at the PCR staff. As a consequence, Assistant Sub Inspector Amar Singh sustained injuries on his face and eyes. The accused who was identified as Sunny was handed over to the local police.
