Teacher murder case: Husband among three arrested
New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday claimed that they have solved the murder case of the lady teacher who was shot dead in Bawana area of north west Delhi on October 23.
Police claimed that they have arrested the woman's husband, who was in an illicit relationship with another woman which had been strongly opposed by the deceased.
Police said the arrested persons include the victim's husband as 38-year-old Manjeet, his 26-year-old paramour and her father Rajeev.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajneesh Gupta claimed that the accuse conspired to eliminate her, as she used to object to the relationship between husband and the other woman.
"The persons who were hired to kill are being looked for," said the DCP. Sunita, a 38-year-old teacher, was shot dead last Monday morning when she was going to the government school in Haryana where she taught.
