Tantric uncle held for raping niece for 4 yrs

New Delhi: The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) ensured the registration of FIR against the paternal uncle who repeatedly raped a 23-year-old woman for four years. DCW in a Press statement claimed that the victim stated that four years ago, her uncle who boasted himself to be a tantric expert, convinced her parents that the girl had manglik dosh and that deep prayer was required to remove her dosh. He stated that the reasons for the difficulties faced by the family were due to this dosh of the girl.

"He further convinced the parents that he would conduct these rituals and that the ritual would be conducted along with the girl in a room," said the statement. It further added that thereafter he would take the girl in a secluded room and he would state that his private parts had divine power which would heal the girl if she had sex with him. He threatened the girl that if she did not comply, her entire family would be ruined and her father

would die.

Women Commission further claimed that the girl was not able to share her ordeal with her parents and eventually some years passed, she got married. Post her marriage, when she stopped going for the prayers to the uncle, the 'uncle' began incessantly calling her mother that if the girl did not come to him for prayers, she would die soon.

On this incessant harassment by the godman, the girl narrated the entire story to her father-in-law who advised her to approach the Delhi Commission for Women.

"The girl reached the Commission and her case was immediately taken up by DCW with the police. An FIR in the matter has been registered and therapist uncle has been arrested from Narela area," added the statement.
