Syndicate of illegal firearms manufacturing busted, two held
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has busted a syndicate of illegal firearms manufacturing unit and arrested two members of the gang identified as Asif and Istekhar. According to police, accused person are operating a syndicate of illegal firearms manufacturing and smuggling in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
Two half manufactured desi Katta, Firearms making tools and raw material 40 barrels (unfinished), 50 trigger springs, 3 drill machines, one Air blowers, three gripper machine, one punching die , Iron rods, wielding electrodes were seized from accused Istkar who is the manufacturer.
One desi Katta and two live cartridges (315 Bore) were recovered from accused supplier Asif Ali. "Both accuesd are arrested during the investigation of Case fir No. case FIR no.336/19 u/s 25 Arms Act of Police station Sarita Vihar," said Chinmoy Biswal. Seven desi Katta and 14 firearms had been recovered in past in the case from other accused Mansoor and Fahim arrested by STF/SED in month of Sept 2019.
Accused Asif Ali would pay Rs 2500 to accused Istkar for each firearms and sold it to Masroor for Rs 4000. Manroor would supply them in Delhi.
