Students' Union poll at JNU on September 14

New Delhi: The annual election to the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU), a traditional Left bastion, will be held on September 14. The election schedule was released late Monday. For the last two years, all four top posts in JNUSU have been held by a Left-alliance involving the Students Federation of India (SFI), All India Students Association (AISA) and Democratic Students Front (DSF).

The newly constituted electoral committee implemented a partial code of conduct, while saying that nobody will campaign until the permission granted. "There was a meeting with various students' orgainsation on Monday night," said a member of committee.

Himanshu, who was elected the election commissioner for the JNUSU poll, said he will try, no one would violate the Code of Conduct in any way in the election.
