Student alleges molestation by guest teacher at NSD

NEW DELHI: A student of the National School of Drama has alleged that she was molested by a guest teacher of the institute. The alleged incident happened on August 1. The woman had filed a complaint alleging that she was inappropriately touched by the guest teacher, who had come to conduct an examination, police said.

As part of the examination, she was asked by the guest teacher to enact a scene and during the process, he touched her inappropriately, a senior police officer said. After the girl felt offended, she lodged a formal complaint to the police and got an FIR registered. Police are also verifying if other girls too had similar issues with the guest teacher. The cops are also trying to verify if in the past too any such case has been registered against the accused professor. The guest teacher is a 62-year-old retired professor, the police officer said.
