Speed up proposed development projects in Noida, Gr Noida: UP Chief Secy to officials

Noida: Focusing on bringing more investment and industries to Noida-Greater Noida regions, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajive Kumar on Monday held meeting with the officials of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority along with senior district officials directing them to bring necessary improvements in the infrastructure and speed up the already proposed development projects. The meeting was held at Noida Authority.
The upcoming investor's summit is scheduled to take place in Lucknow on February 21-22 which is focused to increase investment into the state. Gautam Buddh Nagar district contributes around 50 per cent to the state when it comes to investment. Keeping in mind the importance of area, the directions were given to complete and develop new development projects in the district. The senior most bureaucrats held detailed discussions on Jewar Airport, effective functionality of municipal duties, buyer's grievances among other things. The UP CS also directed the CEO of Noida Authority, Alok Tandon to put in place a much effective system of waste disposal within next two months. The CS asked Prabhat Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Meerut to expedite submission of a report for recommendations for setting up a dedicated municipal body in Noida. The Commissioner had heard the public regarding the setting up of a body in December last year.
"We held discussions on how municipal functions can be made more effective in Noida and as per the roadmap presented before me there could be substantial development in this regard by June," Rajive Kumar told reporters.
The CS held meetings with delegations of FONRWA, NEA, AGNI as well as farmers and village heads from different parts of Gautam Buddha Nagar and discussed with their civic issues and their grievances.
N P Singh, president, FONRWA, said, "We raised issues such as eviction of encroachments, need for enhancement of fire brigade force, increased number of police officials in the district in order to curb crime in the city and also that the Gautam Budh Nagar may be upgraded to police commissionerate, upon which the CS's response was positive."
