Sisodia inaugurates 'Awam ki Awaz'

New Delhi: Delhi Government's Art, Culture, and Language department held a musical concert — Awam ki Awaz — inaugurated by deputy CM Manish Sisodia. Carnatic music vocalist T M Krishna performed at the concert which was held at the Central Park of Connaught Place.

In a report Sisodia said, "I am thrilled to say that T M Krishna is performing in this program of the Delhi government for the second time. He is one of the most well-known classical vocalists of India and his songs always carry a message of harmony and diversity. Our goal of this program is to spread the message of harmony through culture."

Krishna also resonated with similar thoughts, "This is the second time I am performing in Delhi with the Delhi government and it is a special occasion for me. I am thankful to the government for inviting me and also to the audience of Delhi who has always been enthusiastic about culture."

The "Awam ki Awaz" is a cultural program which is part of the initiative of the Delhi govt on Decentralizing Art & Culture through programs like these. The goal of this festival is to focus more on the issues or concerns bothering to aam adami like caste, class, and religion.
