Two people were killed and one seriously injured after a shootout took place in the office realty company in Gurugram's Farukhnagar area on Thursday afternoon. The Gurugram Police Crime Branch has formed the team catch the culprits.
The deadly incident reportedly was the result of a land dispute between two parties, which ultimately culminated into a shootout.
The land dispute was between one Vedparakash Saini and the trio of realtors Sunil, Ramavtaar and Sandeep, who hailed from Jhajjar.
To settle the dispute, Saini had called Sunil, along with Ramavtaar and Sandeep, to his office at Farukhnagar.
However, in the course of negotiations tempers flared and in a fit of rage, some accomplices of Saini fired shots at Sunil and his colleagues.
In the ensuing gunfire, Sandeep died on the spot from bullet wounds, while Ramavtaar succumbed during treatment at a private hospital.
Sunil, who has been admitted to ICU, is said to be in a critical condition.
"The incident occurred around 1 pm on Thursday. The prime reason for the shootout is said to be a land dispute between the two parties. Two people died, while the third is said to be in a critical condition.
"We have identified the culprits and formed teams to arrest them. They will soon be arrested," said Tanya Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pataudi area.
