Shootout at doctor's residence: Five quizzed

New Delhi: Five suspects were questioned on Monday by Delhi Police in the case where a doctor was shot at allegedly by three-four men at his Gadaipur residence in south Delhi on early Sunday morning.
Police sources told Millennium Post that no arrests have been made so far, but they have reasons to believe that a property dispute case in Gurugram within the doctor's family was the cause of the incident.
The property dispute angle is currently being thoroughly investigated.
"We have formed several teams and raids are going on. Some property dispute was reported to exist between the brothers, which is been investigated," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Romil Baaniya.
Police further said that they are close to making arrests in the case.
The victim, Dr Hans Nagar, was reportedly shot at by some unidentified men at his residence near Fatehpur Beri.
The incident took place on the intervening night of April 28 and 29.
Dr Nagar told police that three-four people shot at him, during which he too retaliated with a few round of his own.
He stated that he fired around 12-13 rounds from his licensed pistol, in which he believes that one or two attackers got injured, the police said.
He expressed suspicion about the involvement of his two brothers and four others behind planning the attack, the police said.
He also claimed that a long-standing property dispute between Nagar and his brothers over the Gurugram property was the motive.
Nagar is under treatment and reported to be conscious and stable.
Cops said that 22 empty cartridges and two live rounds of 9mm and .0.32 bore were found at the spot.
A case has been registered under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code
