Separate incidents of robbery reported
Greater Noida/Ghaziabad: In two separate incidents of robbery, unidentified armed robbers robbed a cash collecting agent of a private milk products company with Rs 65 lakhs near NTPC in Dadri area of Greater Noida on Monday morning while in another, three bike-borne assailants robbed Rs 1.5 lakhs from a Sahibabad Based businessman on late Sunday night.
In first incident, nearly five armed robbers looted cash and car from cash collecting agents of Paras milk products company when they were going to deposit the amount in bank. The company officials have claimed the looted cash to be Rs 65 lakhs while during the robbery bid, the robbers also robbed a car from a passerby to flee.
Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gautam Buddh Nagar said, "The incident occurred around 12 pm on Monday and soon after receiving the information, police teams from Jarchha police station intercepted the criminals. Two criminals were nabbed by police along with weapons. The car which they had snatched has also been recovered by the police. We are interrogating the arrested persons to reach out their other accomplices and further investigations into the case are underway."
In another incident, three-bike borne assailants robbed a local businessman of Rs 1.5 lakh at gunpoint in Ghaziabad.
According to police, the incident occurred around 10.30 pm on Sunday in Sahid Nagar area of Sahibabad. During the robbery, the robbers also snatched victim's mobile phone and motorcycle's key and threw them in the drain so that he could not seek help. Police officials said that, Abdul Hafeez, a resident of Sahibabad, runs a meat shop at GD road area. Hafeez was on the way back to his home after closing the shop when three bike borne miscreants wearing black helmet intercepted him. They pointed gun on him and one of the accused took the keys of motorcycle while one accused sntached his mobile phone and threw it into the drain. The accused fled away after snatching Rs 1.5 lakhs cash from Hafeez and also thrashed him with helmet for resisting them.Police have registered a case in the case.
