Security guard stabbed in bus

NEW DELHI: A security guard was stabbed by unidentified assailants inside a cluster bus near Gurdwara Bangla Sahib when he tried to foil a pickpocketing attempt from a girl's bag on Monday. He was attacked by a sharp-edged weapon probably a blade carried by the pickpockets as he resisted their attempt to rob the girl. The man suffered an injury on his hand. Police said that the man has been identified as Rajendra Prasad, a security guard at DGACR at ITO.

The bus driver during the scuffle showed the presence of mind and took the bus to ITO police station. The police after investigation transferred the case to Parliament Street Police station in New Delhi.
