SDMC shuts Waste to Wonder Park & Nandanvan till March 31
New Delhi: In wake of Coronvirus outbreak, SDMC on Tuesday said that Waste to Wonder Park and Nandanvan will be closed till March 31. Mayor Sunita Kangra and Chairman Standing Committee Bhupender Gupta held a meeting to review the preparedness and precautionary measure taken by SDMC to contain Coronavirus.
In the meeting the Mayor said that officials of SDMC have been closely monitoring the situation and taking a slew of measures to curb the Coronavirus transmission. She informed that five lakh pamphlets have already been distributed to the citizen to create awareness about this dangerous virus.
The Mayor also directed the public Health and DEMS department to distribute hand gloves, sanitisers and face masks to all the Safai Karamcharis. She said that our medical staff including doctors and nurses have been deployed round the clock at the quarantine facility centres of Delhi government.
Chairman standing committee, Bhupender Gupta said that we have restricted public hearing in the office of Mayor and deliberative wing.
Citizens can send their complaints/suggestions through e-mails, Whatsapp etcetera to combat Coronavirus.
He said that today we have disinfected the offices and premises of Civic Centre and asked the public Health department to keep sanitisers at the entrance of the civic centre building.
He said that over 2,000 people visit the headquarter every day, so there is need of cleanliness and sanitisation.
