SDMC organises astronomical event for students
New Delhi: SDMC on Friday organised an astronomical event named "An evening with moon and stars" at Waste to Wonder Park in Sarai Kale Khan for its students where they explored the sky and watched the moon, stars and other celestial bodies through a telescope.
As many as 1000 students with 130 Coordinators of Science Clubs of SDMC schools from all four zones introduced to basic astronomy, identification of stars and planets and observation of different celestial bodies through telescope assisted activities.
In "Waste to Wonder Park" on a clear sky, teachers and students participated and observed the wonders of the cosmos.
This program is organized in association with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous body of Government of India. Experts of Astronomy Science from Vigyan Prasar motivated the students to know about the Astronomy and other related interesting facts of the Universe. According to SDMC official, through this activity, SDMC is providing an unparalleled opportunity to students for trying out new ideas, foster innovation nurture creativity in the field of astronomy.
