NEW DELHI: Inspired by a Bollywood actor and his movies on gangsters, a 29-year-old youth entered the crime but he was arrested by South West Delhi Police.

The team of police officials of Special Staff (South West District) has arrested the accused led by SI Naveen Kumar under the close supervision of ACP Aditya Gautam.
DCP (South West), Shibesh Singh stated that in a drive to verify known snatchers, Special Staff was tasked to identify and verify such known criminals.
Dossiers of several criminals having similar modus operandi were analyzed and during which the accused was arrested from Ganda Nala road near Kakrola Mod on 25 November.
"Since his adolescence, he wanted to become a Bollywood star and was inspired by Sanjay Dutt and his role of a gangster in films like Khalnayak and Vastav. He started copying the actor and soon became famous as Sanju Baba in his friend circle," said the DCP.
Police further claimed that the accused started committing chain snatchings and auto- theft with his younger brother Nitin. He and Nitin were first arrested in 2008 in an attempt to murder case.
"He went to Mumbai in 2013 to live his dream in films but ended up spending all his money. He returned to Delhi and became addicted to drugs which further pushed him into the crime-world," police said.
