Sachdeva accuses Arvind Kejriwal of provoking people

New delhi: Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva addressed the Nehru Camp Jhuggi Cluster on Sunday, reiterating the party’s commitment to the betterment of slum dwellers in the Capital.
Speaking in the presence of BJP’s Jhuggi Contact Expansion Campaign convenor Vishnu Mittal, Sachdeva criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government under Arvind Kejriwal for neglecting the welfare of homeless individuals in Delhi over the last decade.
“Over the past 10 years, Arvind Kejriwal has failed to deliver on housing promises for slum dwellers. He has allowed 50,000 flats built under the Rajiv Awas Yojana in Narela to decay, while not providing a single flat to the people who need it the most,” Sachdeva said. “Kejriwal has shown that he can only provoke people, not improve their lives.” In contrast, Sachdeva emphasised the BJP-led government’s efforts, particularly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to provide homes for millions. “Every poor person knows that Modi has ensured the construction of not just lakhs but crores of houses across villages and cities,” he added.
Addressing the concerns of slum dwellers, Sachdeva outlined BJP’s guarantee for every poor person in Delhi. He stated that under the BJP’s plan, slums would either remain in place with proper housing solutions or residents would be relocated to alternative houses provided by the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) or Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
