RPF staff stop six runaway boys looking to 'make it big in Bollywood'

NEW DELHI: Personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) stopped six runaway boys, who were trying to flee to Mumbai with dreams of making it big in the film industry.

During a routine check on Thursday evening, RPF personnel inspector Anil Kumar, sub-inspector Mohit Tyagi and constable Subhash noticed the six boys – aged between 12 and 14 – making inquiries at Anand Vihar railway station.

Suspicious of their activities, the RPF men followed the boys and found out they were inquisitive about trains to Mumbai. Soon, the RPF men realised that the boys were not accompanied by parents.

This led the personnel to bring all six children to the RPF station for inquiry. They offered the boys tea and had a detailed chat with them. Once they were comfortable, the boys spilt the beans and told the cops that they did not have enough money to travel, but were eager to pursue their dreams to work in Bollywood.

Inspector Anil said that the children belong to Mandawali in east Delhi and comprised of three pairs of brothers, one of whom are twins.

The families of the boys were called to the RPF office and the children reunited with them.

"They made some shocking revelations. They were impressed by the films Baahubali and A Flying Jatt and wanted to try their luck in Bollywood. They were going to Mumbai, before we noticed them on the platform inquiring about Mumbai-bound trains," said Shashi Kumar, senior Divisional Security Commandant, RPF, on Friday.
